SD 260

The SD260 card printer is a value version of the SD 360 producing the same high quality 300 dpi, 256 colour images.

It has the same TrueMatch™ technology for very clear pictures, reproducing screen and camera images very sharply with printing right to the edges of the card.

Working the SD260 is very simple. The printer tells you when it needs restocking. All the software you need is easily installed from one disc and a simple browser system controls all the SD260’s functions. Simply plug it into your computer, it runs on Windows XP onward, is Windows certified and can be used with Windows Server for networked use.

Cards are fed into a 100-card capacity hopper and the SD260 can print 200 cards per hour in colour or 830 cards per hour in monochrome. Datacard’s anti-jamming system keeps speeds high and maintenance low.

SD 360

The SD 360 is an easy-to-use desktop printer, which can automatically print double-sided cards in one swoop with no reloading. You should get a very good quality finish with the 300 dpi, 256 colour printing using Datacard’s TrueMatch™ technology. Images closely match those on screen and signatures can be digitised for something approaching driver’s license security. The SD 360 has an anti-jamming card handling system and claims to be the fastest on the market. It can handle 100 cards in its input hopper for large runs, so you can set up with pre-printed cards and simply add names and membership numbers with the press of a button. It prints 200 single-sided colour cards per hour, or 155 double-sided cards per hour. Printing in black and white, the SD 360 can produce up to 830 single-sided cards an hour. The SD 360 is very easy to use. You control all the functions through one LCD touch screen and all loading of ribbons and sorting of jams are sorted through one access door. Simply connect to your computer through Ethernet or USB ports to use the browser-based Printer Manager software, which is supplied on disc. The SD360 printer integrates into most common computer systems and works with Windows Vista onwards. Your SD 360 also comes with a cleaning pen, cleaning roller spindle, USB cable and power supply. SP 75

The SP 75+ is Datacard’s high security machine with extra security laminating and UV printing to make your membership or ID cards doubly secure.

It offers the same high quality printing as all of the Datacard range, with double-sided printing and 300 dpi, 256 colour printing.

The laminating system adds a secure protection layer to your ID cards. You can set the system up to cover only the side of the card you need to protect to save money.

The SP 75+ can print 175 laminated, colour single-sided cards per hour. With a black and white second side, it can print 165 laminated cards per hour.

Ultraviolet printing can add a message that can only be seen under UV light to protect your cards from forgery and give you an extra security check.

It connects to your computer via USB or Ethernet connections and runs on Windows and open source operating systems like Linux.

The print and laminate ribbons and cartridges can be changed quickly so you can switch easily between operations. The SP 75+ can be tailored with an additional laminating machine.

This means you can cut costs without slowing down the printing process by using a security laminate where you need it and a lower cost coating where you don’t.

SP 25+

The SP 25+ is an affordable, entry-level system for producing high-quality colour and monochrome ID cards and badges. It’s perfect for small club membership cards or small business loyalty cards.

Your cards can be cleared and reprinted hundreds of times, saving money on materials and making reissuing cards quicker and greener.

A card can be erased and reprinted in less than 13 seconds.

It prints in full-colour (300 dpi, 256 shades) or black and white right to the edge of the card, and can easily handle photographs for ID cards.

The SP 25+ is designed to be user-friendly. You can feed cards in one by one for small runs or issuing ids to customers as they wait. The ribbon, in its environmentally friendly reusable cartridge, is very easy to change. The machine comes with Datacard’s simple print management software, which runs on Windows and other operating systems.

SP 35+

The SP 35+ is a single-sided, colour printer with easy operation making it perfect for small business card issuers, particularly for setting up a quick ID card systems.

The printer driver software runs on Windows 2000 and XP and talks you through everything you need to get started and keep printing successfully, including full-colour previews of the images that are printed onto your cards.

All the printer’s supplies come on quick-change cassettes and even the printhead can be changed by the operator. The input and output of cards (with a 100-card input hopper) are both through the front of this small, genuinely desktop machine that weighs just 9lbs.

Cards are cleaned as they are printed so they can be handed straight to the end user.

Printing speeds are good. Full-colour cards are produced at 160 cards an hour, single-colour cards at 750 cards an hour. Image quality isn’t neglected, with excellent colour matching and edge-to-edge printing at 300dpi.

Smart card and magnetic stripe encoding can be fitted as an extra before you buy or be installed on site once your security printing needs demand it.

SP 55+

The SP 55+ is a powerful machine, capable of running high security ID programmes while maintaining the plug-and-play simplicity of a desktop model. It prints quickly to a very high quality for on-the-spot card issuing.

It connects to your PC with a supplied USB (Ethernet connection is an option), to run on most Windows machines - Microsoft Windows Me, 2000 and XP with printer pooling on Windows 2000 and XP.

The SP 55+ uses Smartcard’s Smart Driver software, which walks you through the set-up and management of projects.

The printing is edge-to-edge at 300dpi at very good speeds: full colour cards are printed at 180 cards an hour, single sided, or 115 cards an hour double sided. Print in monochrome and you can produce or personalise up to 700 cards an hour. It prints bar codes, digitised signatures and background patterns too. The input hopper holds 100 cards for long runs with no reloading.

It’s also suitable for high security cards. Magnetic stripe encoding in a variety of configurations, and the personalisation of smartcards are both possible with optional upgrades. Laminating card is also possible with add ons and with an Kensington lock added you have a high security system ready to go.

It’s very handy at less than 10 inches deep and around 21 inches wide and weighing 11.5 lbs.

SR 200

The SR 200 is a larger machine designed to produce low cost, single-sided cards. You can add a security laminator as an option.

It prints high quality, full colour images with good quality photo reproduction straight from your camera. You can print over the edge of your card blanks for a luxury look. To cut costs, you can print on a variety of media including PVC, ABS, PET, PET-G and polycarbonate.

You can print a four-colour card in 20 seconds and laminate a card in 21 seconds for on-the-spot card issuing.

A second security laminator you can add as an option will add a range of security coats to make your cards last longer and protect the content from tampering. A security erase feature removes sensitive data from print ribbons for an extra level of safety. Security locks protect the print ribbon and card blanks.

The SR 200 is easy to use with an LCD screen monitoring print jobs. A 100-card hopper is useful for large print runs and can be topped up as you go. Simply plug into a Windows computer and you’re ready to go.

SR 300

The SR 300 offers much the same features as the SR 200, but prints double-sided cards and can encode magnetic stripes and smart card chips for extra ID security.

The image quality is very high with good colour transfer and a process that reduces dye wastage to save money. Choose from a wide variety of media, including PVC, ABS, PET, PET-G and polycarbonate, to save money or give your cards extra quality and weight.

A single-sided four-colour card will print in 30 seconds and can be laminated as well in 36 seconds.

If you need secure ID or access cards, the SD300 can encode contact and contactless smart cards and magnetic stripes. You can print over or up to the edge of chips on smart cards.

A laminator, available as an option, adds a secure layer to your cards. The printer itself can be kept secure with electronic locks. You can print over personal data on used ribbons so you don’t need to worry about leaks.

The ribbons and blank cards are easy to load and printing is monitored via an LCD screen. The SD 300 can be operated via most Windows computer.

RP 90+E

The RP 90+E is aimed at card issuers for whom security is the top priority. Instead of printing directly onto the card, your information is printed onto a thin film, which is then stuck to the card; it lasts longer and is harder to tamper with.

The RP 90+E can print on heavy-duty materials for even better durability. Cards can then be laminated with a security layer as an option. A security erase feature can block out text on the used ribbons to further protect your data.

A four-colour single-sided card can be printed in just 29 seconds. The image quality is very high (300 dpi, 256 colours) for good quality photo reproduction. The RP 90+E prints over the edge of the card, giving a very high quality look to your cards.

You can connect the RP90 +E printer with Ethernet for networking for the Windows 2000 and XP operating systems. The data can be encrypted on the network to keep hackers away.

Three optional extras can be chosen to add more security: A laminator, magnetic stripe encoding and smart card personalisation.

RP 90i

The RP 90i is a financial card printer with good security features designed to bring the printing of the sort of cards we use in cash points in house to reduce the risk of fraud.

The printer itself keeps everything safe with double locked storage for blanks, supplies and rejects. You can even bolt it to a surface. Data is protected on your network with secure encryption. Sensitive data is blocked out on the used ribbons.

A single-sided, four-colour card can be printed in 29 seconds. It can handle large jobs with a 300 card input hopper and easy-to-change print cassettes.

CP 40+

The CP 40+ is an easy to use secure ID system producing single-sided colour cards. Datacard suggest it for running secure ID programmes that need large runs of cards produced at high speed. It’s designed to run with the Datacard IDCentre software suite, which you can set up with a camera for a fully integrated system.

The printing speed is impressive. The CP 40+ prints 160 full-colour, single-sided cards, or 750 single-sided, monochrome cards an hour.

Print bar codes, digitised signatures, photographs and impressive background patterns before you personalise your membership of ID cards. You can manually print double-sided card with the help of the supplied software.

The print quality uses Datacard’s Exclusive Advanced Imaging Technology™, promising great quality across the whole card. You control the image quality yourself and cards are cleaned as they are printed.

To turn it into a powerful, high security system, add magnetic card or smart card encoding options before you buy or as a field upgrade.

The CP 40+ is very easy to use. Simply plug it in with the USB connection, fire up the printer driver and start printing. You can pool the printer straight away. Much of the operation of the CP 40+ is monitored through on-board sensors and on your PC, there’s loads of online help available too.

CP 80+

The CP 80+ is a high security printer that can produce high tech IDs and access cards. Laminators can add extra layers to keep your cards safe. UV printing is an extra layer of fraud protection and magnetic stripe encoding, smart card personalisation, a security suite and a second laminator are available as options.

The CP 80+ can connect to your Windows computer with either USB or Ethernet cables so you can get started straight away. It prints 175, four colour cards per hour complete with lamination.

Add black and white printing on the reverse of the card and it prints 165 cards an hour.

The printer comes with one laminator, which can add a security cover or a simple protective coat. Adding a second laminator as an option means you can do both at once.

The software is easy to use and highly adaptable. There is an online help centre if you have any problems.

With optional extras, you can make the CP 80+ even more secure. You can produce clear cards. The security suite helps keep track of your cards and adds extra locks to the printer itself. You can upgrade to encode magnetic stripes or personalise smart cards.

DCL 65

The DCL 65 packs a lot of features into its compact, desktop shape, and produces high tech IDs with very high security features – it’s suggested as a means of issuing cards like driving licenses.

It comes with laser engraving and data encoding features as standard, so it’s ideal when you need secure IDs or access cards for your premises. A 350 card input system means long print runs are easy to handle.

With laser engraving you can make cards that are virtually impossible to forge – it’s the equivalent of 1,600dpi. The machine itself is very secure with key protected access and card counting systems. With lasers, there are no used print ribbons that may contain sensitive information. It can encode onto magnetic stripes to make access cards or use chips for contact or contact-free smart cards.

The DCL65 is designed to be easy to use and its interface is similar to others used in the industry so it’s quick to learn. Access to all the supplies and user-maintained equipment is quick and easy. You can print on a variety of media to suit your budget, turning out 120 cards an hour.

 

SP 55k

This Datacard model is a bit different; it’s been designed with kiosks in mind with special attention paid to keeping maintenance at a minimum, so you can set up an independent card issuing system.

You can print either full colour or single colour cards and choose single or double-sided printing. Printing speeds are: 23 seconds for a full colour, single-sided card, 32 seconds for double sided with one side in single colour. You can print a double-sided full colour card in about 36 seconds. Single colour cards can be printed in about 8 seconds for a single-sided card and double that for two-sided cards.

The machine is set up to work in a kiosk. You design the parameters to fit your environment. The SP55k can be swapped quickly into place without reinstalling the driver software. The printer is attached to the kiosk with a secure metal base.

Rejected (single-sided) cards are stored separately. You can set the SP55k to pick up cards that aren’t taken within a certain time limit, like a cash point. The input system is locked to keep pre-printed cards safe.

 

There are several optional extras for higher security uses, including, ISO magnetic stripe encoding and several options for issuing chipped smart cards.

Networking is via Ethernet 10/100 Base-T bi-directional networking for the Windows 2000, Server 2003 and XP operating systems.

With the SP55k, you get a two-year warranty for both the printer and the printhead.

 

CD 800

This Datacard model promises top-of-the-range efficiency and is aimed at high volume users who need lots of cards produced quickly. It also handles complex cards for high security ID cards and visitor badges and still sits on a desktop, working with most Windows machines.

The CD800 is the first printer to work at such a high resolution, 300 x 1,200 dpi. This means you can print complex graphics straight from the screen. It’s still fast though, so you won’t get queues building up when you’re issuing on the spot passes. The CD800 turns out 220 full-colour, one-sided cards per hour or up to 165 two-sided cards per hour. Single colour cards come out an impressive 1,000 cards per hour.

To keep things moving quickly, all controls and restocking points are found in the same spot. The machine is controlled through a single LCD touch screen with systems that keep jargon to a minimum.

The modular design of the CD800 means it can be updated without splashing out on a completely new system.

There are lots of options to increase security and speed. Double-sided printing is an option as is high security magnetic stripe encoding and/or smart card personalisation. Extra card hoppers can speed up your id issuing and there’s a physical lock for the printer from Kensington too.

The CD800 works with most Windows machines, with networking through Windows XP SP3 or Windows Server. Simply install the drivers and management software from the supplied disc.

You also get a cleaning pen and cleaning roller spindle, USB cable to connect to your computer, power supplies and a 30-month warranty with a separate 30-month printhead warranty.

 

CR 500

The CR500 is more than a printer; it’s a card issuing system with an integrated software package. It produces financial cards, so it’s great for shops who want to issue their own payment cards. It meets Visa and MasterCard’s security standards and Datacard recommend it for banks.

The printing is very high quality and you can add graphics, full-bleed logos and text to your cards, which can be designed and printed very quickly.

Everything in the CR 500 is protected – the data with encryption, stocks of cards with physical locks.

With three separate inputs, you can set up to finish three different types of card pretty instantly.

Printing rates are good. Printing from scratch you can produce 100 single-sided cards-an-hour or 55 double-sided cards-an-hour. A variety of card

The EMV smart card standard is the industry system set up by Europay, MasterCard and Visa for chip and pin cards. The CR500 is ready to print cards to this standard. It also produces magnetic stripe cards and contact and contactless smart cards.

FCP 20/20

With the FCP 20/20, you can instantly produce custom financial cards, complete with PIN number, that your customers can start to use straight away.

This system can issue ATM, debit, credit and prepaid cards, ready to go. The high-quality printing means cards come with background images and custom designs. It’s done through retransfer printing, which means the image is first printed onto a film that is then heat-sealed to the card, allowing superior quality at very high speeds. Such cards are also harder to tamper with. The FCP 20/20 can produce up to 95 cards-an-hour.

With financial card systems, you need high security, so with the FCP 20/20 you get a physical lock and the best levels of encryption.

Everything is set up to be easy to use. Cards are handled via cartridges and the ribbon and film supplies are just as easy to load.

FP65i

The FP65i is another financial card printer with a quick turnaround for producing financial cards on the sport with extra security features.

It has secure indent printing of the kind seen on cashpoint cards, which is hard to reproduce. It encodes to magnetic stripes too with all your data encrypted while you work.

Printing is full colour or single colour to add the final personal details to pre-designed cards. The FP65i prints up to 150 single-sided cards-an-hour in full colour or 120 cards-an-hour printing on both sides. Single colour printing is at 420 cards-an-hour single-sided or 240 cards-an-hour double-sided.

The printer driver software is intelligent and easy to use and monitors the whole system. Simply connect to your Windows computer. Use Datacard® CardWizard® software to create a flexible instant issuance system that can easily adapt to your needs.

Rear indent printing is available as an option, as is smart card personalisation for contact or contactless smart cards.
