The Magicard Alto Plastic Card printer is a grade up from the Magicard Tempo. It occupies the same footprint but has a card feeder and a key guard, without which security features cannot be added to the card.

Along with the standard features like magnetic stripe encoding (in the Tempo M) , it also offers a built in feature called HoloKote™, a copy prevention feature which places a surface watermark visible when the card is held at an angle. This is achievable using standard consumables and blank cards.

An even higher level of security feature is available using the HoloPatch feature, created with the aid of specialised card stock.

Tempo printers output true 16.7million colour depth, to each edge of the card, at a resolution of 300dpi. It is also user friendly, utilising a drop-in dye film cartridge for 250 colour card images or 500 monochrome black images.
