Halftoning is a process by which gradients, compositions of colours and tones are created by superimposing a pattern of dots of varying size against another set of patterns. Viewed at sufficient magnification, the dots merge to create continuous tone, variable tone, or gradients. Combinations of Cyan, Magenta and Yellow halftones create any visible colour.
