Dye sublimation refers to a process used to print high resolution graphics, images and text on a plastic card. Sublimation is the process by which a solid turns to a gas without passing through the liquid stage. It is sometimes referred to as DyeSub printing. Solid ink on ribbons is vaporized into a gas on the surface of the plastic card.
