MIFARE Cards are similar to LEGIC cards, with a bit shorter operating range. Created by Philips, they have myriad uses such as Identification and Access control, logistics tracking etc. The MIFARE module can be up to 4096 bytes in size, which allows separate files to be kept to run multiple contactless applications from the one card.
